Every person is unique. So are the supports they need.

Families enrolled in the collaborative choose the supports they need and set their own goals. Nothing is required. Families are offered a trusted guide, Child Family Specialist, and a team of support helping to address multiple needs and barriers to success in school and beyond.

Because child and parent/caregiver well-being go hand-in-hand, ISA takes a multi-generational approach to supporting families; working with children and their parents/caregivers together to build family empowerment and well-being. The overarching goal is to launch highly-mobile children at an early stage, into academic success.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. One family in the household 0-8 years old.
  2. Enrolled in or living within Everett Public Schools boundaries.
  3. One child chronically absent from school (missing at least 10% or more of total days enrolled).
  4. Extremely low income (eligible for Free and Reduced Lunch).
  5. McKinney Vento eligible (literally homeless and doubled up/couch surfing).

Recovering from Homelessness Takes Time

  • ISA spends 2-3 years with families.
  • There is no set exit date.
  • Our Child Family Specialists spend multiple hours per week with each family.
  • ISA provides intensive case management and wraparound supports.

Common Barriers to Regular School Attendance
