Improving School Attendance Collaborative
We are committed to valuing you, your race, and your culture.
The Improving School Attendance Collaborative (ISA) acknowledges and stands in solidarity with the Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities who have been disproportionately impacted by systemic racism.
We are committed to promoting equity and creating a safe and inclusive environment for all individuals who seek our services. This includes ISA Partners acknowledging, identifying, and addressing the systemic barriers, racial inequities, and social injustices that impact BIPOC families and working to eliminate these barriers through advocacy and collaboration with community partners. ISA Partners are expected to personally and professionally participate in race and social justice efforts and activities, including attending BIPOC community events and engaging in professional development.
We believe in the power of healing, equity, inclusion, diversity, belonging, and the importance of fostering resilience in families. We strive to remove barriers to school success for families experiencing homelessness. We believe each child should have access to supports and the freedom to thrive educationally and emotionally and reach their full potential regardless of their race or housing status.
The work of the ISA Collaborative is on the ancestral lands of the Coast Salish Peoples, in particular, the Tulalip, Snohomish, Stillaguamish, and Sauk-Suiattle tribes. We honor the original caretakers of the land they continue to cherish and protect.
If you would like to learn more about the ancestral lands where you reside or work, please visit the Interactive Indigenous Peoples Map and the Treaty of Point Elliott 1855.
